This is our most-asked question, and the answer is no — they're built completely differently. Paper towels are treated with bleach, formaldehyde, and softening chemicals that aren't designed for skin contact. They also shed lint and have a rough texture that can irritate, especially around the eyes or on freshly cleansed skin.

If you have eczema, rosacea, or post-treatment skin (e.g. after retinoid use or a procedure), single-use towels are the dermatologist-recommended choice over reusable cotton or microfiber.

Fair question. Two things worth knowing:

• The towels are 100% cotton and biodegradable — they break down in compost or landfill, unlike microfiber or polyester face cloths which shed plastic for centuries.
• Compare against the alternative. Washing one reusable cotton cloth per day uses ~5 gallons of water, plus detergent residue and energy from the washer/dryer. Across a year, the disposable footprint is comparable to — and often lower than — daily-washed reusables.

For opened packs: we don't accept returns for hygiene reasons (same reason cosmetics can't be returned once opened), but if there's a defect or issue, we'll send a replacement. Just send us a photo and we'll sort it within 24 hours.

It depends on usage. For daily face-drying after washing: a 50-count pack lasts ~6-7 weeks at one towel per day. Most customers on subscription receive a refill every 2 months. If you're using them for makeup removal too, expect closer to 3-4 weeks per pack.

Yes. Because they're chemical-free, there's no interaction with skincare actives. Apply serums, oils, exfoliating acids, or sunscreen onto them just as you would a cotton round. Many customers use them as a cleaner alternative to single-use cotton pads.
